THE OVOKO WARRIORS - Episode 1.

......A Story Of The Mighty Warriors.

Swiftly I walked through the tiny path that was surrounded thick forests which leads from the stream to the village path. I looked calculatingly at the position of the sun which was already speeding home for the day, from my calculations it was nearly 6 O' clock pm. My brother, Chisko and I had gone to the forest to fetch firewood for our parents but here I am, alone in the forest hoping that Chisko would find me. He had gone missing. I battled to find my path through home as I battled with the myriad of thoughts that came up and went down through my mind as I struggled to figure out the best way to break the news to my parents without causing an uproar in the family house but none of them was suitable enough.


"Chisko m!" I turned and yelled into the forest that greeted me with a resounding silence. I had heard the sound of some foot steps behind me so, I had stopped to see if it was him. I knew that Chisko could come up with so many pranks at times but I was wrong. It wasn't him. Chisko was nowhere to be seen.
Silently and dejectedly, I adjusted the piece of firewood on my head as I turned sideways to see if any foot step was approaching but I was wrong. None was forthcoming. I slowly adjusted the log of firewood on my head which had seemed quite weightless considering the weight of the grievance I had at heart. Momentarily, I inspected the surrounding with my eyes making sure nobody was anywhere coming, I drew up my last breath of courage, turned and onward I headed swiftly towards home.
